Materials Fee $10
Day/Time: Sunday, April 23 3:30 PM (90 minutes)
Location: Workshop Pavilion
SWITCH's Alison Lewis will show you how to make two loving circuits for wearing or plushie dolls. When the circuits are together they magically connect and both light up with a blinking red heart. When apart you can make it light up to remember the one you love, but they are happier together. This circuit can be put inside two hand made plushie dolls, in t-shirts or in an accessories like a bracelets. At the workshop we will be building the inside circuit and you add them to whatever you want; follow Alison's lovie doll or t-shirt
design or make your own. It is a really great project for those who want to learn about timer chips and how to put fabric and circuits
together.
You keep one lovie and give one to your best friend, lover, daughter or son, or your grandma, and every time you visit your lovies can be together. Or keep them together all the time and let their shining light remind you of your love for one another.
Purchase packet of parts for $10 (contains every electrical part you'll need such as little wires, LEDs, solder board, electronic thread, snaps and batteries). Bring an old pillow, t-shirt or fun fabric, needle and matching thread. (having your own little sewing kit with scissors is helpful too)
This workshop is also being held on Saturday at 3:30 PM.
