We'll show you how to use orrugated cardboard to make all kinds of play things. Cardboard is a light, sturdy, recyclable and inexpensive construction medium. It can be used for quick prototyping of 3D objects, as well as for more fun projects, such as building robot costumes or action figure playsets. Best of all, this material is brought to your door with each purchase of new gadgets, furniture, and appliances.

You'll learn several techniques for building three-dimensional objects out of cardboard, including:
* creating sturdy infrastructure
* tips and tricks for cutting and assembly
* painting and "finishing" your piece
* safely attaching simple electronic components, such as EL Wire, LED's, and sound output

Anca Mosoiu is a software developer and initiator fun activities. At MIT, she was involved in groups that staged elaborate "hacks", including the conversion of a lobby into a "Cathedral of Tooling" (which is to say, studying), complete with organ, stained glass window, and a computer terminal that offered helpful advice. Jeff Jouppi is a graphic designer and illustrator with a degree from the Rhode Island School of Design and many halloween's worth of experience in making fanciful costumes from things found in the home.
