The way I would find my way out of the cave is to wait for audible clues from the bats returning in the morning to guide me, if not to the exit at least to where to bats sleep, wait until night fall and follow the bats out.

I've got food and water to sustain me and my companion, no point wasting energy and supplies on a possibility, when the inhabitants of the cave will lead you to the entrance of the cave every night like clock work.
