MAKE @ Akihabara - photos

Here are some of the photos from our visit to Akihabara as known as "electric town". While there are tons of new electronics stores the real fun was the hundreds of parts shops crammed in to massive buildings. We picked up some rare parts which usually are impossible to find elsewhere or are 10 times the cost. After a long day or parts shopping it was too late to get back to the hotel so I stayed in a capsule hotel, it was $40 and it literally is a human capsule, it felt like being in the matrix... - Link.

As if it weren't already painfully obvious that I need to visit Nihon... I didn't even know about Electric City. It's freaking beautiful.

I love the name Electric Town... did you happen to check out the fake food stores?
Here are my photos from a recent Tokyo trip:

I had so much fun in Akihibara this January. The place is almost bewildering. Otaku culture gone wild. I cannot wait to go back to electric town.
I still love the human habitrail on the store right outside the trainstation. I have daytime and nighttime photos of the place. Its amazing how manythings actually light up. There was so much going on our heads spun and we ducked into a basement cafe to get away for a while.
The capsule hotels are the one thing I didn't get a chance to partake in. Next time definately.
