In order to make the idea mainstream you need to commercialize it and that’s what exactly Bug Labs is planning to do. Why is it that I now have an unhealthy urge to PRESS THE YELLOW BUTTON. I don't know why I want to do it, but I want to do it none the less.

But seriously, this topic was my favorite talk at Maker Faire Bay Area 2007, and I'm glad I caught part of it for MF Austin. I'm a huge supporter of OS Hardware, and I'll be buying a whole bunch of kits from Adafruit Industries really soon, like the Digg Button, POV, TV-B-Gone, and Mintyboost. Maybe some day I'll get something that will allow me to make the boards myself, but for now, I'm happy to support vendors of OS Hardware the old fashioned way; with my monies.
