Brass Goggles points us to the work of Andy Aaron, who crafts very steampunky, work-worn “antique calculators.” Too bad there isn’t more info on his site about how he makes them. They obviously contain modern electronics. As someone points out in Brass Goggles comments, he needs to do one with a nixie tube display.

I love how language is evolving so fast these days. It was not long ago at all that describing something as “steampunky” would be more than a little confusing, but now it’s the perfect adjective for this project.
I really like things like this, especially being able to actually turn them on and use them- it kinda blows people’s minds who aren’t expecting it.
