All you wanted to know about using, interfacing and programming a PIC microprocessor system. The UK equivalent to STAMP but a lot cheaper. Many projects available and a new faster expanded range of processors out in May 07.

We used the Stamp Controller as part of our school curriculum for Technological Studies class. I then went on to buy the Serial PIC Programmer which has served me well for the past 6 years or so.

This sorta seemed like a blatant advertisement… but oh well, ive always thought about getting started on the picaxe anyway… =)
looks like you’ve finally picked up on the Picaxe :)
if it weren’t for the Picaxe i never would have gotten into micro-controllers, although saying that i still only use the Picaxe because its very simple to set up, write programs for and download the programs. no expensive programmers, just 2 resistors and an old serial cable :)
