Skill Builder: The Build a Bike Comic Book

When I posted the “Bre Builds a Bike” piece here last night, I neglected to include a link to the PDF that originally accompanied the Weekend Project. It’s a sweet little comic book that recaps the salient features of the video and includes this nice display of rudimentary bike tools. You can access the PDF on the link below:

  1. Aaron Staggs says:

why would you mess up a bike by taking off the gears??

If you live in an area where you would oouldn’t need to change gears a lot, it could make for a simpler bike to ride and maintain. If you live in a hilly area like me, the last thing you’d want is a single speed or fixed gear bike! :)

back in the early sixties, my dad terrified us by building the Bucking Bronco bike — both wheels with off-center hubs — ensured a truly kooky ride — especially down hill…. YIKES
