  • I paid $1600 for my powerbook, and given the choice of this for free or mine for full price, I'd stick with mine.

    I really hate ads :)

  • Ads that suck the time out of your life get on my nerves too. "Please sit there while we stuff your brain of subliminal message 30 seconds at a time" is indeed revolting.

    However, etching other people's logo on the cover of my laptop in order to get it for free is indeed a clever scheme. Especially when the list of companies ponying the money is not half bad.

    This is closely related to the million dollar web page (and copycats). I wonder how popular this scheme will be.

    This makes me think, I would not mind a new car...
