A former employer of mine owned one of these. I think all of her permanent installations are bronze, but still look very much like driftwood.

If you like these, you would like Deborah Butterfield's horses. She's been making them out of cast bronze for about the last 10 years. Her patinas make them look just like real wood.

New Amazing Driftwood Art

I just got back from the Grand National Art show at the Cow Palace in San Francisco.... I saw this artist who does all really incredible driftwood sculptures. I think his website is really worth looking at. www.matttorrens.com click on the Gallery to view pieces.
