USB Disco Dance Floors and a Bar!

UsbdiscoBatman writes "Last Aptil, MIT created their very own Disco Dance Floor. Over the summer, they released their code and sold their PCB boards online, and here are some examples of what people have done with it: WashU's Disco Dance Floor, Clint's Disco Dance Floor, Tom's Disco Dance Floor (in German), and David's Disco Bar!" • How much more is the Make community going to beat this dead horse?

yay, whoopity, woohoo, an LED dance floor, and bar, and a dance floor, and..... a dance... floor.
    yeah...

how about another dance floor this time?

oh, or maybe even ANOTHER dance floor.

come on already, give it a rest and try some REAL make news, like a homemade disco ball, or fog machine, or dj set, or pingpong ball gun.

  • ok, that's the last post about usb dance floor for awhile, i'll see if i can dig up the others you mentioned.

  • Oh poor DGary. Go ahead and waste everyone's time whining like a baby on the internet. Rather than cry about it to Make, why dont you go and build some of those projects that you dream of seeing on Make? Is it because you're not as intelligent as these people? Is it because you're lazy, and you think whining like a baby will magically bring in all the stories you dream of seeing?

Oh Im sorry, I must have missed the memo about how Make revolves around only your interests, and no one elses.

So here's my advice: quite whining like a little brat about it, and actually DO SOMETHING about it

  • Hate to tell you batman2891, but I AM doing something about it, instead of reposting old news that someone ELSE did, I'm working on a modular semi-prefab (in as much as I make components for it in my shop instead of on-site) Shed/Outdoor studio, smarthouse style, with a built in embedded linux "mr house" style system, only two hinderances currently exist, the city planning department, and the weather.

but thank you for making this a personal attack on my character instead of a rant about overly covered topics, very noble and it does show that you are more mature than my "brat" like self, and yes, I see the irony in a sarcastic remark about ones character, based on a sarcastic remark on ones character.
