    One of my favorite artists, David Roy has been making wooden kinetic sculptures since 1979 that use basic escapements and other mechanisms. His website, Wood that Works showcases most of his pieces via Flash animations.

    I personally own the piece Variation – File which absolutely amazes me every time I wind it up.
