    Red wine can be kept for a week when refrigerated.

    Horrible… Killing a red wine in a freezer, what were they thinking?

    Actually if you remove the air from an opened bottle of red wine, it will keep for considerably longer than a week even out of the fridge. There are several devices available do this from a simple plastic pump and rubber cork with a one-way valve to complex devices that inject inert gases into the bottle to replace the air.
